< Energetic;; Sure, sometimes his constant bouncing and flitting about can be rather irritating, but considering that he's a pop star that needs to perform on a regular basis, perhaps it's not a bad thing that Kenji seems to have almost limitless amounts of energy inside his little body, allowing him to do this and that, meaning that he can get done what he needs to and a little more before he crashes and sleeps for a few hours. < Emotional;; Not really used to having to suppress his feelings, Kenji can be quite transparent on how he's feeling, and while that can sometimes lead him towards trouble when he might not be able to really hide how he feels about someone all that well, the majority of the time it actually serves to help him, giving him reason to want to perform and lending him credence because one can see with just a single look in his eyes that he genuinely wants to do what he's doing. < Kind-hearted;; A gentle boy possessing of a large heart, Kenji could be on the street and he'd still be trying to help someone in need, the boy just a sweetheart and wanting to make people smile and laugh, which is perhaps why he initially took up singing, because it made his mother smile when he would come in and sing a song for her, and now that he's all grown up, he just wants to bring as much happiness to people as he can and help them in whatever way he can. < Forgiving;; No matter what wrong that has been done to him, Kenji doesn't hold even the least little bit of a grudge, and sure, for the big things he might get a little angry, but his anger is more like that of a kitten than a full-blown roaring lion and passes quickly after a brief little confrontation, at which point he is perfectly willing to let bygones be bygones and pick up the relationship exactly as it had been before, if not a little closer. < Enthusiastic;; If Kenji gets an idea in his head, he's not the type to just abandon it without reason, and in fact, he will often bounce around to get it done, almost seeming to jump about as he goes through the preparations for it, sometimes over protests against whatever it is that he's decided to take up doing, and that energy carries him on stage easily, making the burden of performing a little easier for him to bear. < Adorable;; A cute boy even in his childhood, Kenji hasn't lost his innocent side as he's grown up, and when he does things like present people with shy little pecks on the cheek or enthusiastic squeals of gratitude as he hugs someone close and nuzzles their face because they got him a present he really liked, there isn't a whole lot of other ways to describe him aside from the obvious: cute. > Naive;; Very trusting of other people and what they tell him, Kenji is very gullible, willing to believe anything they tell him, and it is actually this trait that has led to him believing anything that his older brother Shiro tells him, even if whatever it is that the elder happens to be telling him is actually wrong, and thus it's not an uncommon occurrence for him to be the butt of jokes without even realizing there was a joke in the first place. > Crybaby;; Extremely sensitive to criticism, Kenji is prone to bursting into tears with the least little prompting, and though he's gotten a little better about being able to hide that tendency in recent years, the waterworks still come out when he's in private, and once they start, it's hard to get them to stop until he's been comforted by someone he's close to - especially if he feels that he's being left behind in some way. > Insecure;; Kenji has an extremely low self-esteem, the result of being so sensitive to the feelings of others, and when he feels even remotely threatened in any way, he tends to start spiraling through panic and pessimistic thoughts, something that will just get worse and worse and worse until he is reassured that he is still wanted, and even then he's likely to doubt himself and his own abilities until he feels he's in a secure position once again. > Perfectionist;; Sure, in most cases Kenji is pretty easy-going, but all that changes when he's given a task to work on that involves something that he's doing for someone else - immediately his whole demeanor changes and, the people-pleaser that he is at heart, he refuses to settle for anything less than absolute perfection, and that often causes him to expend enormous amounts of energy until he either gets things to a condition he's satisfied with or his body gives out from exhaustion. > Trusting;; In most cases, placing absolute trust in someone is seen as a positive thing, but when Kenji's faith happens to be placed in the wrong person - and he naturally assumes the best intentions of people, which doesn't help his predicament - he can be a rather easy target for manipulation, something that has gotten him into trouble in the past before he's been rescued by a friend or his brother Shiro. > Unpredictable;; As might be expected from a hyper boy like Kenji, it's hard for someone to know exactly what the boy is going to do next, and even if he's not the sort to get himself into any trouble intentionally, he can still change his mind and course as rapidly as a summer squall, and due to this tendency, he can be rather disconcerting for those who prefer consistency in their lives. > Childish;; Despite being a full nineteen years of age, Kenji acts very immature for his age, his general mannerisms more befitting of high schooler except for a few things such as his romantic urges - or rather, the lack thereof - and his inability to sleep without having something to cuddle close whether that something happens to be his little teddy bear or an actual person. |

> Kenji should be in college. However, when he sent in his audition tape to Hibiki Tsukiko, the older male saw such talent that he pulled the strings to get Kenji his current job: the pop star idol known as Treble. As a result, he attends the University of Clearwater when he can, but his fame makes it a hard task to attend on a regular basis with his twin Shiro. > Kenji is the Sacrifice to the unit Treble, represented by a single treble clef having appeared on his chest over his heart. Kenji doesn't know who his half is, but considering the fangirls, he isn't too interested in finding out either, knowing that the instant he went public with an other half, he would be painting a target on their back. > Kenji had lost his original pair of fluffy ears and tail to his brother the night before they graduated so that they would be able to ensure they would be close to each other even if they went their separate ways. He now wears a pair of fake ears and tail provided to him by the record company. He is openly bisexual but has a preference for males since they tend not to react so dramatically to finding out he is a celebrity. < Kenji was born the younger of twins, the Yagaris quite the affluent family among their small community. Even from a young age, Kenji would toddle around clinging to the elder's shirt, sucking on his thumb and dragging a teddy bear around behind him. It was only as they grew that they began to differ from each other. Kenji had a talent for fine arts, particularly that of singing, while Shiro liked academics and drama instead. Shiro had acting lessons as a kid, participating in all kinds of small plays, and Kenji would often tag along, singing all the parts for missing kids during musicals. Kenji was usually bullied in school because of his scrawny physique, but when he was eight, the impressionable young boy had his innocence forever retained: while they were watching a movie, Shiro told his little brother that the couple were giving each other mouth-to-mouth resuscitation so they wouldn't die. Kenji being who he was didn't think for a moment to disbelieve him, and since their parents left Shiro to give his younger brother the talk about the birds and the bees - which never happened - and the elder would sign all the forms that came home for sex education during health so that the young boy wouldn't learn, Kenji remained in the dark. When the twins were 13, their mother became extremely sick. In her youth she had been a chain smoker, and the problems she'd been having with her respiratory system all caught up with her at once, leaving her bedridden for the last three months of her life. Kenji would often sit with her in bed and sing her to sleep when she was in pain, the boy trying so hard not to sob, and it was actually during one of his songs that she passed away, eyes closed and with a smile on her face. The family was never the same, however, since their father grew increasingly distant and Kenji began to rely more heavily on Shiro. The boy remained aloof to romance throughout his days at Rosewood Academy, instead remaining naive and immersed in his dancing and singing. The one "romantic" night of note would be the night before his graduation, when his older brother took his ears, but even then it was done so without him really realizing the consequences of it. He just thought he was naked wrestling with his brother for old times' sake and to make sure they'd remember each other if they went their separate ways, but of course, in the morning, when he woke up without his ears, he panicked. Only Shiro's assurance that his ears and tail magically go away when two people love and trust each other very much stopped him from bawling, still trusting his brother intensely. After he graduated, he had plans to enroll in college to become a musician one day, and he and Shiro both enrolled in the University of Clearwater, wanting to remain with his big brother and close to his father. What he hadn't seen coming was that the teacher, Hibiki Tsukiko, would pull the strings to get him discovered, and before he knew it, he had a hit album out and a horde of fangirls who adored him. He may not have known about sex, but he was certainly educated in love, and the blushing boy was such a hit with the audience that the record company agreed with Shiro to keep him in the dark for as long as possible. He still goes off to tour on occasion, but for the most part he remains in Clearwater, viewing it - and the small apartment he shares with his twin - as home. |
