< Loyal;; Lucifer holds himself to be faithful to those he loves no matter the situation, and even when things have gone wrong and he seems to get nothing but trouble for his efforts, he will not falter in having their best interests at heart, remaining true to them until the day that he has nothing left to give, viewing it as his duty to give all of himself to his friends and family so that they can rely on him to be true to them no matter what. < Upstanding;; If Lucifer has given someone his word, then they can rest assured that he will not violate it, the male holding every promise he makes as something sacred and not to be broken, and it is only when he is faced with a difficult choice that this value begins to break down, the urge to protect warring with the sacredness of a secret, but no matter what, he tries to do what's best for everyone, whether that means beating up bullies or remaining in a relationship he's not so certain of anymore. < Uncompromising;; While Lucifer is open-minded to there being more than one answer to a problem, he isn't the type to accept any excuse for violating his moral code, and although he is quite understanding of extenuating circumstances, he needs a really good reason to allow for someone to break one of the things he upholds in his mind - he's hardly a hypocrite either, holding himself to even stricter ideals of right and wrong and berating himself fiercely for putting even a toe over the line since he refuses to accept anything less than perfection as anything aside from failure. < Affectionate;; One of Lucifer's favorite things to do is to show the people he loves how much he adores them, and often this end is one of the few indulgences that he'll allow himself, purchasing chocolates or flowers or some other little trinket to show his love, but it's far more common for the blank to display his feelings in a quick little kiss to the cheek or the lips, in a tight hug, or even in tucking himself up tightly to the other person's side for some good old-fashioned snuggling. < Honest;; Lucifer prides himself as someone who doesn't lie, and although he will sometimes have to indulge in the practice to try to protect those he loves, the blank more often than not will be forced to so that he can try to prevent his loved ones from hurting, but hey, at least anything of value entrusted to him is at no risk of "going missing" or being damaged because of having entered his care. < Determined;; If Lucifer gets an idea in his head or is given a task, he will do whatever it takes to get it done, set in his ways and not really the type to change how he does things just to please someone else, and if there's two things he will always adhere to, it's making sure that he upholds the high moral standards that his parents imparted to him and that his loved ones are safe, regardless of what sacrifices he might have to give up to make this happen. > Proud;; Believe it or not, Lucifer actually has quite the prideful streak, and that can get him into hot water on occasions when he overestimates his own abilities or can't bring himself to admit that he's wrong, though the usual way that this quality comes back to bite him is when he will refuse to accept help when it's offered to him, taking pride in the fact that he's made it this far on his own and that he's never needed anyone for anything before. > Self-sacrificing;; If things came down to it, his own life and someone else's being put on the line, Lucifer would pick the other person every time, and even if this situation never comes up in his life, he does factor in other peoples' well-being into every decision he makes, his ultimate goal being to make the choice that hurts the least amount of people at the end of the day, and if that accomplishing that purpose involves hurting himself, he will not let such a silly thing as 'self-preservation' keep him from ensuring that he can make as many people happy as possible. > Stubborn;; If Lucifer believes that what he is doing is the right thing, no matter what the consequences might be of his actions, he will refuse to be persuaded from that path unless things are truly dire, the blank just as every inch unmoving in his own convictions as a mule - those closest to him know that the best way to steer him onto a different path is through gentle coaxing rather than blunt force since he will dig his heels in when confronted with force but perhaps follow if given encouragements and reasons. > Emotional;; A lot of the decisions that Lucifer makes in his life are driven by his emotions, a factor that can often lead him into and out of trouble, but this trait also sometimes gets the best of him when he's confronted with extremely difficult situations, resulting in the poor male more or less breaking down because things seem hopeless and he doesn't think there's anything he can do to make things better or repair some damage that's been done, often by his own hand. > Independent;; For the longest time, Lucifer's schooling days were basically him against the world, and even after he gained the best friend that always stands by his side, the male prided himself on his ability to get by without anyone else, and thus he will often not even notice attempts to assist him when he's in trouble, so used to having to fend for himself that he doesn't have too much of an idea what it would be like to have someone else look after his well-being. > Passionate;; Although some would claim this a positive trait, Lucifer tends to pour all of himself into what he does, and when things go wrong, it's all he can do to try to put out the fires while holding back his tears, and often he will persist in ventures that have already gone sour simply because he can't bring himself to admit it was all for nothing. |

> Lucifer has quite a few talents, but he is the Rosewood Academy's world history teacher, fascinated with how events that happened centuries ago still affect political decisions made today. He also serves as the sponsor of the fencing and archery clubs since his father taught him swordplay as a child. > Lucifer is a blank Sacrifice who currently belongs to the unit Faithless. The other member of the unit, Alisa Flores, is his fiance. > As a matter of fact, Lucifer still has his ears since right now, with how busy work is for him and Alisa, he doesn't want to risk having a child, and hey, you're not going to have a child if you're not having sex. He is actually bisexual, though he might claim demisexual instead since the only people he has ever been attracted to are Alisa and his childhood friend, Michael Engle. < Lucifer does not know how to swim, and while he's by no means afraid of the water, he will not put so much as a toe in the pool or the ocean without an inner tube and a pair of water wings to make sure he's not going to drown, and even then he prefers to stick to the shallow parts where his feet can touch the bottom than to risk going out into deeper waters. < Lucifer Gabriel Archer was born an only child to a small, happy family. They weren't rich, but they weren't poor either, so Lucifer had the benefit of not having to grow up wondering what it was like to be rich since he was happy with what he had. His mother worked as a waitress on evenings and weekends to supplement the rather unstable job his father had as a battle re-enactor and a locator of older weapons. Lucifer was a happy child, and one of the common sights among his neighborhood as he was growing up was for the young boy to be running around the streets with a good-sized stick clutched in his fist as he used it as he would a blade, protecting the weak from the bullies around his home. Even when he went into school, he didn't give up that role, making use of swordplay his father taught him to beat up the bullies on the playground. This trait, however, got him in and out of the principal's office for fighting on school grounds, but his parents could never bring themselves to punish him very severely when he was trying to live up to the high moral standards that they installed in him. However, his acts of childhood courage led to many of the bullies coming to resent him, and before long, the general negative feelings again became intense enough to pose a problem to him: the bullies had a plan for how they were going to fight back against the swordsman's son, and it was only a matter of time before they enacted it. This plan came to pass the day before school let out for Christmas Break in Lucifer's third grade year. It was a cold, dismal day, the skies dark and threatening to spit out freezing raindrops, but when the young boy wandered out of the immediate line of sight of the teachers, it was a mistake. The pack of bullies lying in wait for him pounced, surrounding him and attacking him with sticks of their own, and the raven-haired male was left to fight for his own survival. He lasted for as long as he could, but he couldn't hold them off forever, and eventually the sheer numbers had him on the ground, letting out a yelp as he received a stomp onto his right wrist. One boy was attracted by the scream and went running for the teachers, rescuing Luci before any more damage was done than the broken wrist and the assortment of bruises that the third-grader ended up suffering. But that rescue ended up acquainting Lucifer with the person who would be his best friend throughout his life, Michael Engle, and even as the third-grader healed up and was prohibited from swordplay after injuring his wrist, the bond between them held true. His friend encouraged him to continue training in his own time and even took up fencing himself so that the two of them could spar together as Luci relearned how to use a blade, this time with his left hand rather than his right. In fifth grade, Lucifer began to use two blades when he sparred, showing off a control that was quite impressive for a kid his age. He was thirteen when his father introduced him to the bow, and the teen took to it happily, enjoying his prowess. He, like his father, had a fascination with the past, but unlike his dad, that affection extended to books and history rather than just old-fashioned weaponry. His reputation as a history buff led to him being rather unpopular among the other kids. In spite of that all, his childhood friend stuck close to his side, and in his sophomore year in high school, tragedy struck. His father got in a car accident with a drunk driver who ran a stoplight, and the loss devastated Luci's mother. She became a shadow of her former self, leaving her son to have to mature quickly and get a part-time job to provide for himself and his mother, and the pressure brought out a stronger Luci that shone through brighter than ever. It was during his junior year that he met Alisa, and the two had a whirlwind romance, deciding to go out within weeks of meeting each other. They were quite the cute couple, and if Luci had any misgivings about the relationship when he would look at his best friend, they would be quashed with the renewed take on life that his mother had taken upon discovering that her son was in love with a beautiful, sweet girl. After graduating from Rosewood, Luci ended up becoming Alisa's sacrifice and enrolled in the University of Clearwater to get his teaching degree. Upon obtaining his degree, he returned to Rosewood, his alma matter, in order to get a job teaching world history. He proposed to Alisa, who accepted with only mild hesitation, the same of any woman asked to enter a bond of holy matrimony. They began to plan for the wedding to be held, but then something happened to throw a wrench into things. For his twenty-first birthday present, Luci received a kiss on the lips from his best friend, and even if the pair laughed it off as a joke and the male assured his fiance that he still loved her with all his heart, but the thing was, that kiss has lingered in his mind. He realized that the entire time he'd been with Alisa, he'd had feelings for his best friend. But he couldn't act on them. He loved Alisa, and besides, he couldn't deal with his mother possibly relapsing if she found out that he wasn't going to go through with her dream of him marrying his beautiful fiance. Instead he chose to bury his feelings deep inside. How long they can stay that way, he doesn't know, but he has every intent on keeping things that way for as long as he possibly can... forever, if he can get away with it. He loves Alisa. And that's what matters in the end. |
