< Thorough;; Never the type to leave something half-done, Charity will always do an exemplary job for every task that she takes on, and whether that is ensuring that a negotiation goes smoothly or retrieving information no matter what the cost may be, she will give her all for that mission and will not stop unless she has completed it, even if a superior officer tells her to stop, and the only way she would cease what she was doing was if someone she held in high regard ordered her to. < Secretive;; Although many would say that keeping secrets from everyone you've ever met ever is a bad quality and can lead someone to become a pathological liar, Charity instead views it as an irreplaceable asset and an essential part of her way of life because if she didn't indulge in it, she would be dead many times over because of the dangers posed to her throughout her missions in her job as a CIA agent, not to mention that her cover as a security officer comes with its own risks as well. < Uncompromising;; If Charity has been given a problem, she will stop at nothing until she solves it, a dogged girl who will remain a thorn in someone's side until she has gotten exactly what she wants and nothing less than that, and that trait leads her to be excellent at negotiations since, if given a list of things that are non-negotiable, she will refuse to give those things up in order to reach an agreement. < Cunning;; Charity has been all over the world in hostile environments where her neighbors are just as likely to talk to her as they are to shoot her, and as such, she's learned how to take all of her intelligence and training and use it to her advantage, becoming a dangerous foe to make and a wonderful ally to have, a valuable asset to the CIA. < Loyal;; When Charity gave her oath of loyalty to the United States upon becoming a CIA operative, she made a bond that she would always hold to first and foremost, and that faithfulness is something she will uphold to her dying day above all else, and even if she may not have informed the rest of her family as to her fate, she still does what's right by them, unwilling to dump a loved one into whatever shit she might get up to as a spy. < Adaptable;; No matter what twist might have been thrown her way that could possibly interrupt a mission she was given, Charity will change her tactics and her strategy, even herself if it means that she will gain an advantage, and no matter what it might take, she will change so that she will be able to come out on top, a valuable asset for a CIA operative. < Possessive;; Once Charity has laid a claim to something - whether it be an item or a person - she is like a bulldog, refusing to let it go without a fight, and when her wrath has been aroused, she will stop at nothing to protect the claims she has laid down, though the silver lining to this trait is that it will lead her to doggedly protect her mission and fellow CIA agents, refusing to let them be compromised and taken away from her. > Delusional;; In spite of all the evidence to the contrary, Charity is so dead set in her imagining that Miranda Keyes is a 'blank' Sacrifice who pretended to be hers to get in her pants that she refuses to accept anything else as the truth, and as a result of this, she has dedicated a large part of her life > Cruel;; There is a certain part of Charity that is rather sadistic and takes pleasure in causing other people mental or physical torment, and as a result of that side of her, she will not pull her shots out of some sense of mercy, something that some people would find a good thing since it means she will not stop a mission but many consider it bad since it means she has almost no reason to halt when she should so that she's not kicking someone when they're down. > Prideful;; Even when she was young, Charity always had the fatal flaw of hubris, and it was that pride in herself that led her to be so against having another girl as her other half, and because she was so set against it, she convinced herself that it was all a lie to make her question herself and embarked upon a course to destroy the other girl in the hopes of finding her 'true' other half rather than the imposter that one Miranda Keyes had been for her. > Self-centered;; Although Charity is kind enough to the people she holds dear and will go to any lengths to ensure they are safe and healthy, her first priority is always herself, and if push came to shove, she would make sure that she would come out of a tight situation intact, then that her mission was salvageable, and only then would she think about a friend or a lover, if she did at all, since she often complains that friendship is a waste of time and a lover little more than a hassle. > Blunt;; When the Fighter has something that she wants to say, she won't beat around the bush and just comes right out and say it, and although many would say this is a good thing since it means that Charity isn't going to beat around the bush or sugarcoat things, but in reality it's a bad thing since it means she will think nothing of harshly informing someone of a painful truth regardless of how they might feel about it. > Manipulative;; Charity has been taught to use people in whatever way possible in order to achieve the objective, and as such, she often treats them as little more than pawns or stepping stones on the way to the future, though she will do whatever she has to if it means that she can keep someone she cares for safe - the only problem is that the number is rather small in number, leaving a large amount of possible victims for her to use to get her way. > Close-minded;; Although Charity is quite open to new suggestions when it comes to her professional life, she is far less so when it comes to her private life, and it is for that reason that when her other half, Miranda Keyes, revealed herself, she was so against the possibility that her other half could be a girl that she immediately thought that the Sacrifice was faking it in order to sleep with her, and in that moment, she decided to dedicate her life to destroying the imposter that had the gall to wear her name. |

> Charity is a CIA operative first and foremost, sent to Clearwater to establish a small base and begin creating a cover for other individuals that may need to be deployed there in the future. Her cover identity is as an officer for a small security firm that is an umbrella corporation and owned by the CIA. > Charity is the Fighter for the unit Devil, the name of which appears on the back of her left calf. Her Sacrifice, Miranda Keyes, has since become a Zero due to Charity's cruelty, which suits Charity just fine. She prefers to fight alone anyway, and her last Sacrifice was killed while they were on a mission in Siberia. > Charity lost her ears at the age of fourteen to a boy that she was dating at the time. She was quite promiscuous in her day, sleeping around with a lot of the sports teams, but things changed after she signed up to become part of the FBI. She had to leave her promiscuous days behind her and has since stuck to the occasional one night stands picked up from bars every now and again. She claims to be heterosexual to a fault, but given the fact that her other half was female, it's likely that she swings that way too. < Charity's real name is Victoria Maddox, however, after she faked her own death, she was forced take on the new identity, and it is rare for her to ever use her old name, the CIA having told her more or less to forget it. She uses it as an alias, along with Natalie Hardy, Felicity Johnson, and Evangeline Lyrica. < She has a tattoo that goes from the right side of her shoulder where it joins into her neck and snakes up to just beneath her ear on the same side, the letters spelling out 'Saint' in the style of a unit name to provide a second layer of cover for herself. Her hair is also dyed - the natural shade is black, but she changes it to pink and is careful to touch it up every day to make it impossible for any roots to show through. < Most of her work involves her having to be at the mental ward since that is most commonly where she's stationed as a "security guard". < From the day she was born, Victoria has had to fight for her life. Her father was a deadbeat and an alcoholic and her mother a whore. As might be expected from such a maternal figure, she was abandoned on her father's doorstep almost as soon as she was born, and as a child she was often neglected by her father, only occasionally cared for when he wasn't drunk and/or when he felt sentimental towards her - the majority of her care came from a few callgirls who had heard her crying and fell in love with the baby girl. When she was two, her father met the woman that would come to birth her half-brother by the name of Allistor a year later. She didn't dislike the woman, but she was by no means sorry to see her go when the lady walked out when she was six. On her ninth birthday, however, her mother came back out of nowhere, and she had married and gotten herself a husband. Apparently her husband had found out about Victoria, and rather than being disgusted, he wanted to take the child in as his own. She packed up her few belongings and left her little brother without a second thought, and she hasn't spared more than the faintest of passing thoughts on his behalf since. Her new father, however, didn't really know what to do with her, especially when she would act out, and to keep the peace, he would often give in to her. As such, she was rather spoiled, and so when her unit name 'Devil' appeared on her left thigh when she turned thirteen, she kept it hidden so that no one would think any less of her. Still, her father had left his effects on her, and when she entered her freshman year of school at Rosewood Academy, it took only a few months before someone noticed her name during gym, and from there, things changed. She snapped at someone when they asked about it, but rather than trying to diss her on it, as she might have expected, they found it sexy. She began to hop about from boyfriend to boyfriend, admired for her allure, for the first time being popular rather than ridiculed for not having money or being inside and clique, and then came the blow to her pride. A nerd came out of the woodwork claiming to be her other half. And it wasn't just any nerd: it was a female nerd, and Victoria by no means went for that type, let alone girls. She immediately realized what had to be the truth: Miranda Keyes was lying to try to sleep with her. Her other half was out there somewhere, and it was by no means this blank. Furious at having been treated as a fool, she began to increasingly ignore the other girl and to become more and more open about the boys she would date. She wanted to break the source of this insult, but nothing happened for one whole year. There was only one thing to do: lose her ears. She gave them away to a member of the basketball team, but even that didn't do anything. She accepted a request to go to the prom with no intention of going with the blonde, instead going with the quarterback, and the next day, she ridiculed the other girl with words so intense that she drove the other away forever. She had forced once bubbly Miranda to become a Zero, and then sent the girl to be lost in a daze. Proud of herself, she then finished out her time in school searching for her true Sacrifice, refusing to believe anyone who told her that Miranda was her real Sacrifice and that she had destroyed her own unit beyond repair. Upon graduating, she began to train to become a member of the FBI, and upon being accepted, she trained hard, becoming the top of the class and viewing it as a way to better herself. She made friends with one Ren Daisuke, the two of them being fairly close as they shot up the ranks of the trainees, but then things changed. She was offered a job with the CIA, but there was one catch. She would need a new identity, and she picked Charity Angelica Peterson. In order for Charity to live, however, Victoria had to die. So she did. Charity invented a whole new life for herself. She was the Fighter for the unit Saint, whose name trailed along her neck to just underneath her ear. She had grown up in America and graduated from a small-time community college in Savannah with honors. She went over her cover until she had it perfectly memorized and then, with her new Sacrifice, she went to the Middle East and Siberia for several months. She was out there for a whole year fighting enemies and retrieving information before she was pulled out with a mission complete. But there was one catch. Her "Sacrifice", as it were, had died while they were in Siberia in a shoot-out with ex-KGB agents, and the other had perished. Charity was reassigned to Clearwater in order to function as a smuggler for other agents to enable them to do what they did best, as well as establish a rapport with the locals. She accepted the task and took on the "job" of a security agent, but secretly, she's excited to be home again. She knows that she'll find her real other half this time, and if she ever catches up to that cheating blank, she'll give the woman a lesson that she shan't soon forget. |
