[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=style,width:400px; background:#fff;] Personality |
< Protective;; Put someone that Oliver holds dearly in danger and he will fight tooth and nail to keep them safe, not really caring so much what might happen to himself when others are in danger, and as such, the well-being of his friends and family come before his own, and he will fight to the last to ensure that they are happy and safe, a trait that will be quite valuable to a Fighter... if one can manage to persuade him to join in a unit, that is. < Dedicated;; When Oliver finds someone who makes their way into his life, he will never abandon their side, the type of person to remain faithful to the end, and it takes a lot to violate those bonds of loyalty, something that has led him to trying to make sure he never finds a Fighter since it would become a bond that becomes replaced with the other's true Sacrifice, leaving him with affections that persist long after he's been replaced, so to avoid such an event, he refuses to have a Fighter at all. < Intelligent;; Considering that Oliver runs his own business without dealing with all too much trouble - scraping by with a modest profit is his aim, and he manages to accomplish it quite well too - he's quite smart, and he often puts his brains to use running over the books for both Story's End and for the circus or on a crossword or sudoku puzzle in the privacy of his own apartment. < Proper;; He might not look it with his midriff exposed all the time for his host club, but Oliver is actually quite a respectable individual, priding himself on polite behavior, and it's part of this aspect of him that contributes to his dislike of having his personal space invaded in less than innocent public displays of affection, which then lead to him flailing and spluttering before smacking the guilty party off of himself to adhere to the rules of polite society. < Honorable;; Oliver may have his flaws, who doesn't, but if there's one thing he knows how to do, it's uphold his word, and when he gives a promise to someone, he'll keep it no matter what, and as far as the idea of stealing or breaking the law goes, the concept is so foreign to him that it would only happen if he wasn't aware of it, and he'd spend the rest of his life trying to make up for it. < Kind-hearted;; No matter how much he might complain about it later in private, Oliver is actually quite a caring man, and whether that extends to include liquidating some extra funds around Story's End to support his little brother Dawson's attempt to recreate their father's circus or taking a few extra shifts so that his employees can have a night off, he is quite a generous person when he wants to be. < Romantic;; Oliver may not be a man that someone would peg as the type who smiles at a corny little gift of flowers or chocolate - or the other cliches involving love either - but the blank actually harbors a lot of hope for finding someone who will want to grow old with him and still want to kiss his lips until the day they both die, though his preferred method of being romantically approached involve something closer to old-fashioned courting than casual dating. > Pushover;; Sure, Oliver knows how to stick to his guns in certain aspects of his life, but if there's one thing that his little brother Dawson has managed to hammer into his brain throughout the years, it's how susceptible he is to a puppy dog look, and a moment of such a look is usually enough to get him conceding ground at least partway, sometimes all the way if the look is maintained and the request doesn't violate his comfort zone too badly. > Easily Flustered;; Perhaps one of the easiest of Oliver's traits to come out, the blank is extremely shy about himself, and while he certainly seems confident enough of himself trotting around with his midriff showing, in reality it doesn't take too much to make him blush bright red and flail his arms spewing out words that make little sense until he can manage to get control of himself and string the words together to make sentences of protest. > Prudish;; Just because he happens to wear rather revealing clothing on a general basis and owns/works at a host club doesn't mean that he is open to being touched, and it's not a too uncommon occurrence for him to be seen huffing up and flailing as he scolds someone for getting too hands-on with him, regardless of whether they're friend, enemy, coworker, or patron. > Petty;; If there's any one instance where this trait of Oliver's comes out more than anywhere else, it would have to be his relationship with his ex, Zaknafain Westhaven, which mostly involves him blackmailing the younger male with tales of what happened while they were together and informing his younger brother, who Zaknafain has feelings for, despite the fact that the Fighter just wants to make peace with him. > Stubborn;; It's rather rare for Oliver to display this side of his nature, the blank more than used to bending to patrons and donors for the good of his club, but there's also a rather easy way to drag this side of him to the surface - just start flirting with him and he'll immediately turn bright red and insist that there's no mutual feeling of attraction, possibly even resorting to smacking if he thinks it will free himself from the attention. > Introverted;; Antisocial isn't really the correct word to describe Oliver, the blank Sacrifice has no problem with running his business and serving as a host to cover tables and shifts, but to be honest, he tends to not like interacting with others unless it's on his own terms, usually one-on-one and in a way where he can't be the subject of any possible romantic advances. > Scardy-cat;; Oliver would never be the first to admit it, but when he's frightened of something, he will go out of his way to avoid such a thing completely, and one such example is how he dances around his irrational pathological fear of animals by making a point to never visit the zoo, aquarium, or circus he does the books for as a favor for his younger brother Dawson. |

> Oliver may not look it with his ears and tail still perched on his head, but he is the proud owner of a small host club and restaurant known as Story's End. He works as a host in order to cover shifts that need to be, but he doesn't usually like being hit on. He also knows a fair bit about accounting, and as such, he handles all the monetary transactions for his little brother Dawson's attempt to recreate their father's circus. > Oliver is a blank Sacrifice, something that leaves him a tad insecure about love. A large part of him yearns to be part of a unit, but he doesn't want to be merely a replacement for someone's other half, ready to be tossed aside as soon as someone better comes along, and the feeling is made all the worse by the fact that he knows a Fighter can battle without him while he can't battle without a Fighter. As a result, he locks himself away from units - and relationships - and instead makes himself comfortable with solitude. > Oliver still has his ears and tail, which given the fact that he will be a host for his own club, many find surprising. He is entirely homosexual, and as a matter of fact, he used to date Zaknafain Westhaven before an intimate encounter revealed that the brunet wanted him only because he looked like his younger brother Dawson. < Oliver has an extreme sweet tooth. He absolutely adores chocolates and fudge, and even though he tries to restrain himself so he won't add pounds to his midriff considering he walks around with it exposed, his weakness is chocolate cake, fudge, and chocolate chip cookies (and pancakes), and offering them to him will result in him taking them, even if they're meant romantically and he itches to deny the sentiment. He likes his sweets dammit, and if he doesn't get them, he can get a little cranky. < Oliver runs a small host club known as Story's End. While the establishment doubles as a restaurant and has an area set aside for what someone would imagine for a usual host club, the main attraction of the place lies in that the place specializes in an Arabian Nights theme further back. Story's End is only three years old, but it's doing quite well considering the inexperience that handicapped him when he first founded it, and the establishment actually turns a profit now. < When Oliver was five, the lions at the circus his father ran got loose and decided to play with him. Unfortunately for him, this resulted in being chased up a tree for three hours, left to cry until his father managed to rescue him and the lion in question was locked up in a cage again. Ever since he's had a pathological fear of animals and has been unable to set foot in the circus without steeling himself mentally and ensuring that he doesn't have to see an animal. < Oliver's father suffered a heart attack four years ago. The event made him closer to his younger brother Dawson, and when the boy expressed a want to rebuild their father's pride and joy, the circus, two years later, he immediately got out the money that his father had left him, along with some funds from his own personal bank account and that he had from Story's End, and gave them to the younger stating that they were left to him by their father. To this day Dawson is unaware that not all the money his brother gave him came from his inheritance. |
